In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK to deliver a address at the Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed my talk don't think I can make the plane we r enroute to heathrow".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a gulf air departing at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing helper".

These exchanges were released on Wednesday together with over 20,000 pages from the records of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The disclosure by the House oversight committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets has been able to confirm his involvement by matching the timeline, occurrences, and locations referenced.

For instance, Epstein discusses chartering a jet from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the chat, and commends their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and gave the talk at the Oxford on November 16.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, declined to comment on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of the president's key advisers in the lead-up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the administration in 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein before his passing and reportedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a recording of his show recently, he said: "We're going to release the film, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the disgraced financier at times appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days before the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I will ensure you're well looked after."

British Affairs Mentioned in Exchanges

The released communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in 2018.

Earlier on the same day his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit thing this day with Farage, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a reference to Theresa May, the struggling British leader at the time, he continued: "They are trying to move on. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think remaining as long as you can in the UK. Ideal- so others get the dedication of your follow through."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa May survive". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely however the guys here have no balls" and noted "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - someone has to step up".

May was eventually removed in 2019 after surviving multiple attempts of lack of support in December 2018.

A representative for the political party informed the BBC: "Nigel Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting occurred.

The US House of Representatives will decide next week on whether the justice department should make public all its records concerning its probe into Epstein, who died in prison in that year.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was renewed this week after the release of more than 20,000 pages from his archives.

Some of those mentioned Trump, who has repeatedly rejected any wrongdoing. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for years, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
